Best of Show Winners

Best of Show – Best of Show Presented by Helicon Brewing

Helicon Brewing will team up with the overall Best of Show winner to scale up and brew the winning beer at their Oakdale Brewery. (Some restrictions apply - namely the beer needs to be commercially viable. For example, if the winning beer is a three-year-blend gueuze aged in the Arc of the Covenant we'll sort out something else to brew with the winner.)

Best of Show – Turtle Creek Award presented by Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

The Turtle Creek Award (named in recognition of TRASH's early days, founded as the Turtle Creek Homebrew Club) goes to the homebrewer who scores the most points in the competition. Points are awarded five for first place in a category, three for second, and one for third. Points for mead and cider count towards a brewer's total, but at least one point must come from a beer category. The winner of the Turtle Creek Award will team up with Rock Bottom Brewery in Homestead to scale up and brew one of their beers.

Best of Show – East End Brewing Company Sessionable Award

The brewer of the highest placing, commercially viable ale under 4.5% abv will earn the right to scale up and brew their recipe at East End Brewing Company. Styles that are out of play would be ones that require extensive aging, or super funky fermenting agents. Or impossible to land/crazy expensive ingredients. (No Saffron beers please.)
